Nature Education
A "School of Concepts" that takes learning outside the classroom, since 1991.
Nagpur city, Besa and NETRAVAN
NiViM began in 1991 as Nisarg Shala, a Sunday nature school under the trees. Today we run nature camps, slide shows, street plays and exhibitions, and the Dnyandeep library at Besa, where students from poor families prepare for government job exams.
What we do
- Nisarg Shala: learning about nature and science by seeing and doing.
- Dnyandeep Abhyasika, a library and study room at Besa for students preparing for UPSC, MPSC and other exams (since 2017).
- Nature camps in national parks, sanctuaries and tiger reserves, and regular nature walks with live demonstrations at NETRAVAN.
- Slide shows, film shows, exhibitions and street plays in villages and schools.
- Field research with college students, through agreements with colleges and veterinary universities.
For CSR teams: fits Schedule VII (ii) promoting education of the Companies Act, 2013.
